SteveDD - I had exactly the same problem and then I found this
Flash K800 CID53 with K810 software CID53 (for begginers) : Software, Firmware and Drivers : Sony Ericsson @ Esato
and it worked without a problem. I managed to Flash my K800i to a K810i.
