w850 will not flash

Hi, I am new to the forum and I read a lot before posting. I have a 2 yr old w850 that started to have wsod. I read that it could be caused by a malfunctioning firmware or the top keypad membrane and flex cable. Just to eliminate the possibility that it is a malfunctioning firmware, I decided to reinstall the firmware with SEUS which updated my phone to CID53 but I used d_ultimate unlocker and downgraded it back to CID52. I tried to flash the phone with XS++ v3.1 and Setool2lite v1.11 multiple times with different version firmwares and all successful, but everytime I reconnect it back to read the phone information, it always shows the old firmware version and CDA. No change at all after flashing. The phone used to start up and restarts at the please wait screen and constant white and black blinking. Now it wont even turn on. I also tried restoring my backed-up GDFS with no luck. Anyone has any idea what is going on? Thanx in advance.

I have the same issue with w760i check it the custmenu has any data

i did the same things as you and ended up with the same result. you phone is now not switching on is because the bat might be dead you will have to charge it externally but then u will still ahve the issue
read my post about w760i restarts it might help you. but it didnt help me.:( im still stuck with it.

what i discovered is what my custmenu folder is totally empty where as it should ahve some folders in it. I copied the same folder and data from a w910i to the w760i no such luck now im hunting for w760i custmenu adn hoping to try that out soon.. I will let you know if this is a success.;)

Ok...I went into the phone with far manager+sefp and saw that the phone has 2 tpa folders. Inside of both folders has 2 preset folders. Inside both preset folder has 1 system folder. Nothing in custmenu also. Can I just delete both tpa folders and input my own custpack? Will that fix the issue?

Edit: I just found out that the custpacks dont have everything in the tpa folders. Should I just delete the duplicates?

No, it is still not working. After deleting one of the tpa folders, both ended being deleted at the same time. I reflashed the phone with a different version firmware, fs, and cda. The same thing happened, I still see the old version firmware and cda. In addition to that, now when I turn on the phone, I get a red blinking light under the power button. I read from other posts that this is due to an EROM failure. If I reflash the EROM, will be able to finally flash the phone and will be able to keep the new flash? Could a bad EROM cause the phone to not keep the new flash? Thanks.
Anyone knows if flashing new erom will fix my phone's problems? It will not keep a flash.

Well, I reflashed the erom anyway and I no long see the red flashing lights. I replaced the upper key pad and flex cable and now its black to the WSOD. I just restarts and white screen again. I flashed it multiple times and I still see old firmware, cda, and erom, info when using xs++. Am I doing something wrong or is there sumthing else wrong with my phon

Is it possible that d_ultimate unlocker did something to my phone other then downgrading it back to CID52. Would updating it with SEUS again fix this problem. At this point, I just want a working phone, but updating it SEUS will turn it back to CID53 and I would not be able to flash anymore. Will this do solve my problems?

Unfortunately, the same outcome happens even if I flash it with SEUS. SEUS states that it reinstalled the software successfully and when I hook it back up to XS++, it still has the old firmware and cid and everything. No1 knows what's going one?

Hi everyone i a new member of this forum and i am experiencing such problem with my k800i it just won't flash even when i try using xs++v3.1 or setool2v1.11. The xs++ only show protocol and band base number each time i connect the phone while setool2 fails to load from the erom. This problem started when discovered that when ever i connect my phone to my computer it fail after some times and freezes my computer except i disconnect it from the phone. The next day i said i should Off the phone and On it after changing my sim, but the phone refuses to start instead i saw the led beside the infrared blinking faster than when the battery is down. Thought it was the battery but confirmed the battery status; it was ok. That was when i realised that my phone's erom has been corrupted after reading many posts on it. Somebody pleased tell me how to do about this problem or which other software is can i use that can flash and repair the erom of the phone directly. My e-mail address is prochimadu@gmail.com. Thanks.
