try replaceing the fexi ribbon costs about 3 pound from ebay but u will have to change the top keypad as well :)

Took it apart and it looks as though the baby put some ribenna in there :)

There is a small resistor that has blown :(

Ah well looks like she will have to keep it as a spare! Its two year old so out of warranty - and the ribenna dont help!
