Unlocking w580i

I have gotten my w580i from my Teacher in college, she is with suncom/t-mobile, i unlocked the phone(patching) and debranded it, im with att and i want to brand it to att so i can use their stuff, but i would have to reflash it, would this remove the unlock patch, and if so is there any way to repatch it if i dont have the Suncom sim card? i have the ATT Main and FS firmware. let me know because i really want to put ATT firmware on here. i really dont want it to lock back so suncom.

adding to philzfog post, if your phone CID is 52, you don't have to use Suncom simcard but if it is CID53, then you will need Suncom simcard to unlock again
