Does anyone know what are the name of the files I need to flash a w850i phone? DB2020? I been having weird problem with my phone and I think flashing the firmware might fix it.

Firstly, there alot of different files that you could use. i suggest you post a xs log here and then we can tell you what you can use and also let us know what region and language you require on the phone. ie. just download xs and and connect your phone to it, post your log here and we can help you in no time.
P.S. The instructions on how to flash your phone are in the homepage tutorial section. but dont be afriad to ask, thats what we are all here for.

Sorry about that. I posted 10 posts in the last five minutes to download something. I'll try to open it up to see whats the problem. The screen wasn't crack so I think its the buttons. This post was meant to try to update my firmware to a fresh one.

my w850 is having white screen now and i was considering repair of its ribbon, does anyone knows how much is it and for how long it will change again?

only white screen? can you do anything with your phone though you have white screen? if yes, then you are right about the matter, but if not, you don't have to change the ribbon, flashing a new firmware will solve the problem

im a w850 and most of my friends are and im going to bet you need the top keypad replaced. it seems that the top keypad was designed badly in the w850 and therefore cant with stand a lot of wear and tear.
ie. i doubt its firmware or the ribbon, most PROBABLY topkeypad.
um...besides the white screen, can you use the phone normally? do you see a blinking red LED when you try turning it on?
