w850 dead after flashing

thanks alot philzfog for your help, the phone is correctly flashed now.
i opened it up and removed the top keypad and reconnected it losely (not clicked in) with my thumb pressing down on the bottom right led. i could see the phone start up and display correctly, but as soon as i fixed it back to the connections it did no work agai, it just flashed white. When i pulled the top keypad off the 3rd or 4th time, half the keypads connection broke off d'oh. i know have to go n get another top key pad. But my question is will i need to buy the ribben too or is that ok?
