w880i with 850mhz

Alright, so I'm jumping through hoops trying to get this back to CID52 (might have to pay for it), so in the meantime, could anybody explain or point me into the direction of how to apply a patch or script that would allow the W880i to work on the 850Mhz band? I found a site that may be explaining it, but it's in Spanish.

BTW, I found this:

FIRST, make the backup of your GDFS, then download the setool2lite 1.11
if you dont have setool 1.11 download here... 4shared.com - free file sharing and storage

Then open your notepad and write the folowing line...
gdfswrite:000000AC12

then click "write script" and connect your phone holding "c" button...
this may take about 10 seconds, detach your phone and test...

Is it that easy?

So far I've been able to patch, but now I'm getting no network coverage.
