Sorry but I don't seem to get you; are you suggesting hardware fault with the LCD or I ought to change GDFS K700 to K610I. If it is the latter kindly advise how to change the GDFS.

My phone was bought brand new, it was never serviced, and was working fine until this blinking. I then update phone with SEUS, I am still wondering how GDFS becomes K700, was it before or after the update and if it was after, then can GDFS K700 be the fault as the phone was down before the update? Never the less I would still want to change GDFS to K610I and see what happens. Please advise. Thanks.

Re: K610I: How to remove blinking white screen (WSOD?)

I got the JDflasher and have installed the USB Flash drivers; thing is I am completely new to this, how to do a full reflash? Do I go into OFLASH, and where do I get the necessary files (firmware for the K610I). I am relying on the instructions in "http://www.akshayy.com/sonyericsson/tutorials/jdflasher-flashingcustomization-tutorial/". Is it good enough?

    Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Re: K610I: How to remove blinking white screen (WSOD?)

OFlash in JDFlasher prompts for K610 firmware, though my K610I has been upgraded to CID53 by SEUS but I couldn't find any K610 firmware with CID53 in 4Shared, is it alright if I use the CID52 firmware? That is: K610_R1KG001_MAIN_GENERIC_TH_RED52.mbn and K610_R1KG001_FS_EUROPE_2_RED52.fbn.

    Thanks in advance

Re: K610I: How to remove blinking white screen (WSOD?)

OK here's what happens inside JDFlasher. Got into Oflash, followed the following steps:

"Oflash - Flashing for Firmware/Debranding/flashing vkp etc.
    1.Start JDflasher.
2.Connect phone to JDFlasher as said above.
    3.Enter Oflash mode.
4.At right side, navigate to firmware location on computer.
5.Select firmware at the right side.
    (I select the file 'K610_R1KG001_MAIN_GENERIC_TH_RED52.mbn')
    6.Press F5.
    7.Click ‘Copy’.
8.Ensure the option flash ‘as babe image' is selected. (babe for firmwares, mbn, fbn)
    9.Click ‘Yeah Flash it’.
10.Wait for flashing of all blocks to complete. '

Steps 1 to 8 successfully done. But on Step 9, got this error message:
    "PutFiles(putfile(putfile_flash(flashbabe(header(s end header error 19)))))".

    What happens?

Hi Mr Philzfog, many thanks for all your great help! Indeed JD Flasher is fantastic, I only need to flash in the CID53 main file and the phone works! Thanks again Philzfog. :)
