    You may play:

    3GP, MP4

    You cannot install codecs for phone (exception - symbian phones)

    if you convert your videos to .3gp,quality will be good for resolution of your phone, there is no need to play avi videos!

    Is it possible to reproduce fullscreen 3gp videos on w810i?
    I've heard that it's not possible with the standard walkman video player.

    Thanks!

    W810i plays in full screen in Walkman player, only 3gp and mp4 videos.

    Right. No matter how good the converter you use, your video allways look poorer in full scrren mode.
    Because w810 or similar phone like k750/w700/w800 support only 176x144 res. video. When you view them in full screen mode they will be resized to 220x176 res. without enhancement. Which cause pixelated video and lagging if the video has high quality or bitrate. I allways got that problem (k750 for my case) so i prefer watching them in normal view (not full screen).

    For newer 176x220 screen res. phone like k550 has ability to playback video larger than 176x144, says 320x240 which give good quality in full screen :)

    using a good avi-mp4 converter - Mpegable Broadcaster video converter;
    DVD-mp4 converter - Nero7 (plagin nero recode);
    3gp-avi or dvd - Pinnacle studio 10.
