please boot via rom?

k770, db2020 cid53. trying to downgrade to cid52.

2 & * connects but i get the errors 'unsupported boot mode' 'please boot via rom'. this is mentioned in a few threads without any confirmed resolution.

have tried v1.03 & 3.06 beta - same result both times.

please help, or if the answer is available just tell me to keep searching.
