    S500i red light flashing...

    Hello,

My nephew "stole" my S500i and had some fun with it. My phone is a Hong Kong phone and he tried to install the French language to it. He told me that he:

    1- Downloaded and installed XS++3.2
2- Flashed the MAIN and FS that were of the good "type":
    - S500_R8BE001_FS_AMERICA_1_RED52.fbn
    - S500_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_LY_RED52.mbn
3- Flashed the GDFS with S500_GDFS.bin

All the files were found on this web site.
Now, the phone is not turning on anymore. A red light is flashing 6 times and that's it.
XS++ doesn't show anything now. Only SEtool2 can show me this:

    -------------
    ChipID:9900,EMP protocol:0301
    BOOTROM MODE DETECTED
    Speed:921600
    Flash ID check:897E
    Flash props sent ok
    OTP LOCKED:1 CID:51 PAF:1 IMEI:35344702848160 CERT:N/A
    FLASH CID:52 COLOR:RED
    IMEI MISMATCH ! GDFS IMEI:35683301011643

    Model:S500i
    Brand:TIM
    MAPP CXC article: R6AC003 prgCXC1123326_GENERIC_LY
    MAPP CXC version: R6AC003
    Language Package:TIM_ITALY
    CDA article: CDA102765/81
    CDA version: R7A
    Default article: cxc1123328
    Default version: R6AC003

    Operator: 000-00

    Elapsed:17 secs.
    Abort all operations.
    phone pre-boot failed,possible RECOVERY needed.
    Elapsed:66 secs.
    -------------

I tried the repair, recover etc... but it is never ending and doesn't work.
Is there any way to recover it? (I have a backup of the GDFS apparently...).

    Thanks,

    Xavier.

It's because GDFS of other S500 had been flashed on it. if you have the original backup GDFS of your phone, not from other, then rewrite the GDFS that you have back up.

if you didn't have backup, then you need to send it to a repair shop
