To unlock your Sony Ericsson C510, you need to apply patch.

my C510 is CID52, RED, I've found these out using A2Uploader.
how can I find out DB?

is there any other free (and easy) method, like aerix used to be?

Well, your phones are A2, for unlock them check: Sony ericsson A2 Phone unlock free, if they are CID53: [Tutorial] Patch A2 platform cid 53 Red for free
Also yo can try qith OMNIUS service, check this: Top Sony Forums - Buy Omnius License and this: Omnius.
