    Black pot on camera (k750)

Any reason why a black spot will come up in pictures? It looks like dirt but ive cleaned it loads and it wont go away. The phone hasnt been used for a long time + lens cover always on. Can CMOS detectors 'just' deteriote??

I think it can be something on your lens. Have you tried cleaning it?

Why don't you upload a picture taken from your camera, that would give us a better idea.

CMOS detectors can be damaged in a little spot on the surface of the CMOS chip. It can be due to very strong light (e.g. someone take photo of the Sun and so on).

Yes these sensors can be damaged by the powerful light, I have similar problems with other CMOS cameras. Only solution is change camera module, it's not expensive.
