XS++ Help - w880i Phone Lock

My girlfriend found one of her old Sony Ericsson phones and has no idea what the phone lock code has been set to.

So I'm trying to use XS++ v3.1 to reset it.

But.
I suck at a lot of things, and it seems this is one of them.

I've downloaded the SEMC USB Flash Drivers, but have no idea how to install them, because the USB installation tutorial doesn't work for me on my Vista PC.

So I just start up XS++ because I'm not sure what else to do, and it doesn't recognise the phone.

I'm running Vista home 32bit.. and I've already got SE PC Suite 4.0 installed, if that makes a difference.

may be your battery is out, try a fully charged battery

the battery seems fine. the phone boots up to the lock code screen okay

I'm running Vista home 32bit.. and I've already got SE PC Suite 4.0 installed, if that makes a difference.

On Vista 32 bit you must choose "....only this time"
Then click "I haven't CD drivers" and browse Extracted folder with SEMC USB flash driver.

it doesn't give me anything like that to install the drivers though.

when I plug the phone in it doesnt bring anything up about a driver being installed or needing to be installed at all

may be your fastport is dirty, clean it and try again
