DESPERATE FOR HELP! The white screen of death

HELP HELP HELP!!! I'm desperate for ideas on what to do next!!

My w850 first started having problems a while ago, sometimes the screen would turn white then freeze after the keylock was activated while the phone was on... then eventually the phone wouldn't show a display at all. It vibrates then goes white, then grey then stays white for a few minutes before turning itself off.

I have already replaced the flex ribbon but now when i turn the phone on it vibrates then the screen goes white, then grey, then white, then grey etc.

i dont know much about flashing firmware, but this is what i have done so far...

I have backed up my GDFS using XS++ and have tried to flash it with two different sets of firmware..

the first ones I used were:
W850_R1KG001_MAIN_GENERIC_CY_RED52
W850_R1KG001_FS_CENT_EUROPE_RED52

but it came up with this error:

Then i tried just using the customise option,

(I live in new zealand but the CDA matched the CDA listed earlier so I thought to try it)

but after turning on my phone the same blinking white screen appears!!!

This is so frustrating!!! :confused:

so then i download a different firmware:

What am I doing wrong???
Am I using the wrong firmware?
Should I update the EROM CID?

Please help me.. I am tearing my hair out trying to get this to work!! :mad:

I recently debranded my phone and i think you have to use the matching FS,MAIN,and custom pack that matches your cid ,region and all of that high tech important suff....try to post your log when you connect your phone and press identify but without your IMEI # and ask what firmware and custom pack you need for it

Okay i upgraded it to cid52.. but how do i identify it?
it says my region is worldwide.. what does that mean?

uumm try to wright cid 49 files as u are try to wright cid 52 use xs to upgrade it to cid 52 then retry to flash it with cid 52 files

But when i turned the phone on the same white blinking white screen happens!

Is this still a flashing problem or is it something internal? I was really careful putting the new flex ribbon in.. could there have been a problem with that?

um...im not sure if its a software problem...didnt read your logs properly. but now that i jsut read that you had the white screen problems in the past it most probably that your top key pad is broken like mine was. its seems that it was designed very badly and everyones is breaking. do be warned that if you send it to sont they are goign to upgrade you to cid53 which is a ass. good luck
