    Phone protection on K770i

Hi guys. I am new at phone modding generally, and i haven't done anything on my phone except installing some java applications. I have K770i with the vodafone firmware. My problem is that it has the phone protection code enabled and it is not the factory default (maybe somebody smart put it for fun, i don't know :)). So i cannot use any other sim except mine. It is not the kind of lock that only works with vodafone sims (network lock). It's the phone protection that asks for a password when a different sim than the one already in, is inserted. It is located in Settings-Security-locks-phone protection. Anybody can help me finding a solution? Thank you very much...

PS:: I also searched the forum, but i didn't find anybody with the same problem.....

No my friend. It's not this kind of lock as i told you. It's the lock that when you enable, it asks for a password if you change the sim it had when you enabled it. No matter if it's vodafone or anything else. Someone must have entered it (maybe my brother xaxa) and i can't use any other sim than this. Vodafone or not.

if you have CID52, run xs 3.1, connect your phone to it using usb cable while holding c, when connected, you'll have the option to select the GDFS tab, now click phone lock, your user code will be reset to 0000, reinsert battery, now start your phone and goto settings, under general slip down to security/locks/phone protection/protection/startup and select off. you may skip the XS part but to be sure its good you known the security code

    Re: Phone protection on K770i

I have found some tutorials about flashing db2020/cid 53 phones with far manager and jdflasher. Can't any unlocking be done with these? Maybe with a patch or something?
