SETool 2 lite v1.11 wont show up

im trying to debrand my w580i and a website told me that i have to download SETool2lite v1.11 to do it...everytime i download it, it doesnt show up...when it gives me the option to open or save, i hit open and it asks me what i wanna open it with so i click internet...and then it goes off and the window pops up again to ask me whether i wanna open or save it...ive tried this at least 10 times but setool2lite v1.11 wont open...please help!!

yeah right, pause your antivirus, restart pc and try donwloading it again, when it ask to open or save, click the save button

yes it does work ,
all you need to do is uninstall your antivirus,
(dont worry I had the same problem before).

work with the program and then reinstall antivirus.

problem is that setool is detected as a virus.
(got something to do with the cracking procedure of setool full)

dont worry to much just uninstall antivirus and then do what you have to do.
then reinstall antivirus afterwards.

Another answer is to download the .rar and then reboot your PC in "Safe mode"(with networking)...AVG doesn't load on start-up...I am using Vista Sp1 and wasn't able to access the .exe file in normal mode but with what I learned on these forums was able to Flash/unlock sim (my first time) my w850i...Dont unpack the .rar until you are in Safe mode(with networking) and setool and Sim lock patch work fine...thanks again to this forum,saved me £££'s
BTW, dont use SEUS after or it will "upgrade" your firmware to CID53 and your fon will effectively be locked again

i am also having problems with downloading setools doesnt show up when i try and open the file it says files are missing also it show a couple of virus on the downloads why is this can someone help thanks

need to turn off ur antivirus ((temp only )))and re download it then run it

i download a version of SeToo2 aprox. 68 Mb AND REQUEST for a pasword to unzip it . why?
