Ring tones

I have a Sony Ericsson W580i with rogers. Roger put some kinda lock on the phone so i can't use my mp3's as ring tones.

So a person told me to use FAR Manager + JDFlasher. To log onto my phone and edit my
customize.xml. So i changed what he said and uploaded it

Edit that line from your customize.xml:
<enable-ringtoneplayer-mp3>false </enable-ringtoneplayer-mp3>, like this :
<enable-ringtoneplayer-mp3>true</enable-ringtoneplayer-mp3> and upload it to :
TPA/preset/custom.

But still doesn't let me set my mp3's as rintones.
Then i also noticed when i go to the mp3 and i go to click more> Use as
it lets me do that but the next little menu that pops up says

Ring Tune
alarm signal
messaging alert
contact

But all the writing is no solid its kinda see threw just like the ring tones that come with the phone and you can not delete.

So i ask you what has to be done so i can use my MP3's as ringtones. ( with out de-branding my phone)

OK. Thanks i already new about the drm way but if thats the only way to get ring tones on my phone OK.

I ran into this issue as well and the only solution was to debrand my phone. (I'm trying to do this now but the downloading rules were changed here recently... >..)
