    W910i upgrading and signal problem

    Hello!
I have a SE W910i, which was experiancing an odd fault-every now or then it showed "Emergency calls only" in the areas, where there should be good signal. Also, you can see that it's picking some signal(almost all the bars on the indicator), but the "emergency.." message is there all the time. Other times it had a great signal in the very same places.
So, I have upgraded it with SE update service, but since then the fault is there all the time. I've flashed it to W910_R1CA029_MAIN_GENERIC_SH_RED52, but it didn't do any good, I'm still getting the message and can't make or receive any calls. Does anyone knows what the fault may be-because now I'm pretty sure it's not software related? Thanks in advance for any help!

Yes, I'm able to make calls, also now after flashing the problem doesn't appear all the time(sometimes everything seems to be fine and it's fully working). I've got it off ebay some time ago, so sending it back is not an option. I'll most probably sell it as faulty and get myself something else, but I wanna check everything I can before I do that;)

I had a phone that did that once, turns out my SIM card shifted a little and lost contact with it's socket in the phone. Check that.

Re: W910i upgrading and signal problem

It seems that I have managed to fix the problem-the solution might be useful for other people with this problem(It seems that it's a common problem with W910i). I've opened the case to check if the antenna cord is ok-I've unplugged it and then removed whole internal antenna. I didn't notice anything unusual, so I have put it back together and close the case. After that I'm not loosing my signal constantly and not getting any "Emergency calls only", it's been 3 days now so I guess that it was something with coax cable after all. Apart from this, phone got lower signal than other mobiles, that I own, but apparently that isn't anything unusual for W910i.
