Re: Come across a bit of a problem.

    Hi again.

I'm curious to know, I'd like to make my menu's in japanese text.

I thought the way I could do this, is extract the en.lng and t9, and the ru.lng and t9. I could open up the russian language files and change all the strings into japanese.

How do I extract files from the phone? the download button is greyed out and there seems to be no other way unless i'm missing something.

try with this. extract it, make a copy of the FS and rename it shortly as you like and copy it to firmware extract folder. run start, it will ask you a name, type the name you've just renamed it, voilaaa everything will be done to extract the file system. there you can copy the language file

    Thanks.

Before you posted, I managed to extract all the files from the firmware, but unfortunately when I change some strings into japanese (I used a file called LNG editor), They dont work because they arent in the character list, and its impossible to copy every japanese character into the character section. So I won't bother with it.

    Now, I've another question xD

With all this amazing editing, which I never thought was possible, I was wondering. I always thought the video player was pretty stupid..no rewind feature..no pause feature etc.. Has anyone made maybe a custom video player for the phone?

here is some application that i can shared - Top Sony Forums
and about the clock, no knowledge about it. you can rewind, fast forward, pause by pressing & holding left for rewind, right for fast forward, center for pause but if you need a better player, here is what i have. enjoy

Re: Come across a bit of a problem.

    Thanks for that.

    A new question :p

I'm wanting to change my incoming message tones. Since I was able to extract all the files from the FS, I am able to see what format all the sounds are. They are 3gp.

I have a prepared MP3 file which I'd like to use.

Is there a FREEWARE program out there which will create this 3GP format?

Re: Come across a bit of a problem.

    Just thought of something else.

    The Clock

its pretty straight forward, for example it will say 21:09 or something.

In the lng file, I couldnt find any mention of this. I remember a while ago, I was looking at a game strings file and time was set up something like this

%%:%% Which I guess means Hours:Minutes and the % is just a space for every hour and second.

Is there a file anywhere within tpa or something with the clock strings? I'd like to make it for example

    21:09 to 21時09分

It may not work. But I'd like to try it.

google for "Daniusoft DVD & Video Converter Pack" and within the video converter, select the mp3 file, in the format preset-set it to 3gp and click start.
