Any sim in my K800i Cid 53?

hi all. i am new here but it seems the place to be for Sony Ericcson.

I mates bird has given me a phone, k800i. she has a new contract and i thought i would have a crack at getting my sim in it.

So far i have discovered that it is a cid 53 with the latest firmware, see XS++ log below.

Now all i really need is to make it a universal phone so i can put any sim card in it. i am not willing to pay any money as i can buy a brand new one of these phones for under 40 quid, with a sim card!

Anyone know if it is possible to fix this phone?

you need to flash the main and quick access patch first to do that and then apply simox simlock patch. try this

Hi Rider, thanks for the link. i did see the subject of flashing the cid 53 in the link you sent but i was unsure as it was the wrong DB.

I will have a good read tonight.

But you must start the phone and run executor so you need the correct sim to start the phone ;)
