    w580i light bug fix

everybody who has a w580i knows this problem on the latest firmware R8B001. the sidelights go to standard after having used the walkman or played a track in the file manager.

we also know that R6BC002 didn't had this bug. so we need to downgrade our phones to this firmware and problem solved right?

well... not really/always. newer w580i phones have an update display/driver. if you load the older firmware your screen will be messed up.

now here is the solution. you flash R6BC002. and after that you flash the display driver from R8B001. it worked for me.

you can extract the firmware using main2raw.exe and SEFStool4.exe. (scroll down to download) here is how it goes:

    1) on your C: drive create a folder named "ext"

    2) in this folder you place the w580 R8B001 FS (rename it to: w580.fbn for convience),
    main2raw.exe and SEFStool4.exe

3)then click on start button, then click on RUN, and then type: "CMD" the DOS prompt will open

    4) in the DOS prompt type: "CD\"

    5)now type: "CD EXT"

    6) now type: main2raw.exe w580.fbn, in a few seconds it will convert w580.fbn to w580.raw

    7) now type: SEFStool4 w580.raw

it will extract everything into folders. go to: _w580.RAW\IFS\SETTINGS\DISPLAY and there you will see the 2 displaydrivers ;)

now since i am a nice guy (:p) i uploaded the 2 files for you guys. i took them from RED CID52 firmware. i don't know if you can use them with CID53 but i don't think that's a problem.

good luck! and press thanx button it this helped you :)
