Picture messaging problem

have u gone to setting>connectivity>message settings>picture message> pick the one for u sim card

Yes but it still will not allow me to send or receive the picture messages,i have even phoned virgin and explained to them and they sent the settings but still nothing.

As i said earlier the settings will work fine using an earlier firmware version so i was thinking it could possibly be a bug in the newest firmware version but have not seen anyone else reporting the same problem.
