    K800i camera lens

Hi,does anyone know if there is a way to remove dust which has managed to get behind the camera lens on a K800i - i have stripped the phone down but cannot see a way of removing the actual camera lens.

    Thanks.

Maybe you can try using a can of compressed air to blow the dust out.

I cant actually see anywhere the dust gets in it looks like a sealed unit but obviously it's not as dust is getting in somehow,i thought there might be some way of dismantling the unit or at least a way of removing the lens glass to give it a clean.

Perhaps i will have to look into buying a new camera unit as this one is affecting the picture quality with the amount of dust on the inside of the lens.

    Thanks anyway.

Ps- does anyone know where i can get a new camera unit and if so how much is it likely to cost?

Hi Leonheart, thanks for that but it is dust inside the camera unit itself behind the lens glass which is the problem.

I don't know as the unit seems to be sealed but it has,i thought i would be able to remove the outer glass but i can't see a way of doing it without using brute force.

You can't do anything, because that lens cover is glued and if you try with force it's very possible to destroy camera(it seems that cover lens wasn't hermetic closed). If yours picture that bad you can try to open with force ,but be prepare for buying a new camera.
