SEMC support using DCU-60 Cable

Bought Semc tool off Ebay called a phone unlocker. tried using it with a DCU-60 cable and nothing happens it does not find the phone. Have also XS++ and can connect the phone using DCU-60. Contact the guy who I bought the unlocker CD off of and he said it should work with DCU-60, he said just plug it in and it will recognize it. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong or what I haven't done. My phone is W810i.:(
