Hi,

This is my first post here. I joined as I was trying to source solutions to an issue I have with my K800i.

It was originally a contract phone from Vodafone but kept breaking down and I was constantly sending it back to them for repair. When I got tired of it breaking down I just turned it off and called them informing them it had been stolen, naughty naughty I know lol but they refused to replace it. Anyway I got a new one on my insurance sold to me by Vodafone and they barred the 'stolen' handset.

Anyway that was over a year ago and I've kept the phone in a drawer ever since. I took it to a repair fella last week and asked him to swap the main board over for me so I could use it again, which he did and it works ok now. Only problem is he put a main board in it that he had taken out of a damaged K800i that was originally in a '3' phone. So now I have all the 3 software on it and I really just want it de branding completely.

I am pretty handy normally with this type of thing and used to regularly flash my Motorola V3i without any problems.

The trouble is I have a pc at home but no internet connection so I have to come to the library to use there's and load any software I think I might need onto a memorystick and go back to mine to try and do the job there. This morning I couldn't get the flashdrive software to load. I was using the SX++ interface and holding the C button down and getting my pc to detect the flashdrive but when I browsed for the flash driver it said connection failed.

What I need is the correct flash drivers and the correct firmware for a K800i.

I'm presuming there may be different types for different models of the K800i so if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be much appreciated.

Oh BTW, I did try downloading the relevant flash driver files from the relevant thread but because I'm usung a library pc it wouldn't allow me to download some of the ones I think I need.
