Need Help for my w850 white blinking screen!!!

yer when i do them at work i allways change top key pad becuse 8 out of 10 time it breaks when u remove the ribbon they are the worse phone to work on with what plp think is the wsod hehe

that probably explains why the screen will work fine untill you move the top slide. anyway, i sent mine into the store cause its still under warrenty and they claim its the software. so i dont know, at long as they get the phone fixed. will keep the top key pad replacement in mind though just incase it isnt repaired. um...is it just the top keypad(the directional pad) i should replace or the whole top piece??

another question, i sent my phone in and they will most proabably reflash my phone. you rate they will flash it to cid53? ...im going to be so peed off if they do that.

by they way, your on like EVERY sony ericsson forum. haha!!!

hey dudes :), i am having th same problem , i just dropped my phone , & noticed it white screen stays , i cant even switch off the phone , untill i remove battery , & try to switch on the phone , it vibrates 2 wice , & stays blinking again , i changed flex no use , not the Top Keypad UI & flashing , let me try that rest too , :(

ah! been way to long. though this thread was clased long ago.
guys, its the top keypad membrane. have it reaplaced and it will all be good. i went through a long procedure and fianlly took philz advice (big up phil) and tried the top keypad and what do you know? working 100%

by the way. had my phone back for quite a while now and its never given the problem again, so yea.
