    Rediculous but reasonable requst.

So the short version is I has a P1i which i loved all my heard that was destroyed in a car accident, and right mow i don't have the money to buy another one or an x1i so i took the one freee phone they had at my local store, th w760, which i will admit is a great phone but it does not have the qwert keyboard among other things which i can live without for the time being.

THE ONE THING I CAN NOT STAND IS HOW THE BACK LIGHT TURNS OFF INSTANTLY.

So i'm curious to know if someone was able to get the script from the P1's back light app, they could re-write it for the w series? i mean on that baby the jog wheel controlled almost everything from volume to brightness to scrolling.

Now i'm pretty sure almost every w series phone has that mock jog wheel/volume controller on one of it's sides. it's just on these they do almost nothing.

So would it be possible to create an extention in the phone's settings where one can just plant the back light app in there? i remember when i had my P1 i would set the brightness at only 50% but it would never go into power saver mode and i was usually vain with showing off my screen savers. lol :P.

Or if something like that is already kicking arrounbd, care to point mne in the right direction?
