unlocking w580

I have a handset from the UK that is a few months old so it is CID53 and I would like to use it in Canada. I followed the unlocking guide but unfortunately the SEtool2lite is only for CID52 and it wouldn't do anything to my phone when I plugged it in. I know this was an issue months ago, can I use other software to unlock a CID53 phone? Thanks for the help.

One more question, what firmware would you guys recommend I use or does it really matter?

The same one is indeed a good idea. My next question is how do I find out exactly which firmware I have? Do I have R8BG001_RED53 or R8BE001_RED53? Just not sure what the differences are or if they matter. Thanks again.

I am having trouble accessing the FS through jdflasher. I can connect my phone and run the qa2020 script, but when I click on bfs so I can upload the 3 files to tpa/preset/custom, I get the following error:

Any ideas what this could be? I have the fix for CID53 for jdflasher. Thanks.
