    Re: Flashing/Patching 3 K530i with generic firmware

I only have the main atm, will it be fine if i leave the 3 (hutchison) FS and cust pack alone and just reflash the main with the generic?
If you flash the MAIN only, then it can cause conflicts.
Plus can a QA patch and a Rest file generated using the generic firmware work with the current locked firmware, or it doesnt matter at all?
NO, because every patch is made for a specific MAIN. The phone type, firmware version and branding must match.
what im trying to is, not unlock it, but flash it with a W660i CID53 main, fs and cust pack, which would unlock it anyway.
You can do that. Then generate a QA and an unlock patch from W660 main, and apply them.

=P im sorry if im starting to annoy you, but im new to this:

Okay, so without patching my current existing K530i firmware (unlocking using QA's etc.) can i just generate a QA and rest patch for the W660i firmware, apply those, and flash the W660i files? Or do i need to patch the firmware already on my current phone before i can start reflashing it?

First make full flash with W660 firmware(MAIN,FS and CUSTPACK) and than apply QA patch and rest for W660 MAIN
