Patching CID53 (DB2020) and any CID (DB2010,DB2012)

Hi i am trying to unlock a w880i that is locked to t mobile, at the point where you have to turn the phone on and run the executor file, from the file menu, i assume i will need a t-mobile simcard, as i cannot access file manager/games without a sim or with a different sim, please can anyone tell me if my assumption is correct. Thanks

By the way great site have been reading for 3 days solid.

You can't complete the process without a sim card, otherwise the phone will only allow you to go into demo mode.

Hi! Thanks for your instructions on unlocking w880, i have followed all the steps but cant get past the EXECUTOR part, the phone keeps giving me a error when i try to run it.

is this correct_? i take the battery out in every operation like u say, i also use the old jarflash with updated anycid. I am using the w880 ".b" file provided in the w880 folder.

i have a w200 DB2010 cid53.. i can't make a vkp quick access file patch.what to do??

Ok, I have gone through the process (I think), the phone takes another sim, but after the phone goes through the process of obtaining settings via network, I get Inactive sim, although the phone is fully acessable the sim will not make or recieve calls, it is recognising the sim as O2 UK initialy when the phone is turned on.

Also in the tutorial it mentions removing the 3 files exacutor jar exacutor p and the upgrade file, when i go back in to find them where i put them (as instructed by tutorial) they are not visable, I say visable as the exacutor file was still visable in file menu/ games on the phone (where I was able to delete it) but they weren't visable through far/jd.

Any help would be appreciated.

*UPDATE*
I have followed the process again to the letter no errors, I have checked the service settings, simlock shows ALL padlocks 5 and unlocked.
When I insert my personal 02 sim I can ODDLY get on the internet and browse, yet it says sim in active and i cannot make or recieve calls or texts.
The phone is being done(or attempted) for my son who also has an 02 card, my wife has an 02 card they show and do the same.

Am I missing something guys??

PS 3 02 cards have been tried, intially the phones show 02 uk but then after several seconds they show inactive sim, 2 of these cards were taken out of other phones where there were no problems (full service).

(for example my phone is W810 R4BD, but there is only R3BD on the executor..Just an example)
