just noticed in the a2 uploader V5 thread that it says my w995 is a DB3210 so will this unlocker even work?

I'm getting a little confused with all these codes :/

Also just tried the aerix for k850 but servers are down and the main aerix-group site seems to be down any ideas if there coming back or will another method do,my friends k850 died when you turn it on the keys light up and the blue led comes on near the lens of the camera but thats it.

But want to sort my W995 first :)

A2 Uploader V5 also shows as a thembia trojan on AVG i'm presuming this is a false positive

Your phone has CID53 security, so A2uploaderCID53 would do the flashing, for your frends K850, flashing MAIN, FS and custpack will solve the problem. by the way A2uploader is not an unlocker, it's just a flashing software

Right here is my predicament I have a friends k850 and it has died here are the symtoms

1.turns on ok and keyboard lights up and camera blue led lights up and thats all it does.

2.when i try to connect it to a2Uploader by pulling out battery and putting back in then holding C button and connecting cable it does nothing cant even identify the rom etc, all that happens is the red led next to the power button strobes constantly.

Whats wrong with the bloody thing?

I havent tried flashing it yet with A2 because i figure if it cant even identify it then it wont flash,also i am not sure what main/fs/custom pack to get?

It was on o2 UK, i have tried doing a re-flash via sonys update program but that does not detect it either.

Any suggestions?

Ok so tried it with a fully charged battery and nothing at all,the red led has stopped flashing near the power light though.

I read somewhere that it might be the ERom thats corrupt and needs replacing?

I mean to click add and insert the MAIN and FS files, and to add the CUSTPACK.zip to MISC and then press Flash ?

And if not, which way is better to apply the CUSTPACK. By adding it to misc like a zip file, or by dragging all the files from the CUSTPACK extracted folder to the /tpa/preset/custom ?
