W760 Acoustics

Hello Everyone,

Now that DB3150 phone modding is possible, its time to change the shitty acoustic drivers given to us by SE. However, i have been looking all over the internet and have not found decent acoustic drivers for the w760 at all. They are all for the k850 or w910. Has anyone had success modding new drivers? all i was able to achieve is a louder speaker, but nothing close to the bass given by peter's acoustics for db2020 phones like my w580. Here are some w760 acoustics;

any other db3150 acoustics like w910 or k800 do not work with the w760. if anyone has had some success, please, let me know.

ok since no one has resolved this issue, i would like to let everyone know that i have some progress.

1. Download this acoustic set (W760 Acoustic by Richard.rar) and flash it to /ifs/settings/acoutic

2. Download these acoustics and flash them over your newly flashed acoustics from part 1 (again in ifs/settings/acoustic).

3. I found that to get the best sound from the heatset, you have to use the manual equalizer preset, and crank the bar furthest to the left to its highest possible point. That will increase the base (of course) and then set whatever else you want.

Its much better this way, but still nothing compared to Pete's Acoustics for db2020 phones, whose megabass in unmatchable. I will keep everyone posted on any futhur developments.

I tried combination of Richards & Mollina's Mach 5 acoustics but didn't like it. It sounded noisy and dirty. No good at all. I LOVE bass but I also wanna have clear sound w/o headset at high volume. I still prefer the F1ref0x acoustics. Loud and clear :D

just put the files in that folder. It will automatically overwrite the existing files.

i've tested it and the mic doesn't work for calling. tried it on my bluetooth headset and it worked.

yeah,its jus working when d headset is turned on....wat shuld be done to rectify this problem dude....plzzz help

that is very odd, i did this exact process with my w760 and everything worked fine. my recommendation to the people having trouble with their mics is to go into a2uploader, then to ifs/settings/acoustic and manually delete all the files

*FOR W760 ACOUSTICS TO WORK, THERE SHOULD BE 66 FILES*

So once you have manually removed all the files, try reuploading only the "W760 Acoustics by Richard" because i know for a fact that they 100% work. If your mic starts working after you have done this, then they uploading the MachIII acoustics afterwards. If the problem persists, then backup your contacts and media ect... from your phone and do a refirmware flash using SEUS.

Or before you overwrite your original acoustics Files use the "read" function of A2 Uploader to Back them up that way if you run into trouble you can just delete the custom acoustic files and reflash the original ones........without loosing contacts/settings ect....from updating with SEUS

...p.s the "read" funtion is only available on A2 uploader version 3 i believe:eek:

hi guys, i did a small survey from other sites and this helped a lot

only mod the farfield_play.wbxml and phf_2_play.wbxml , it will not effect the others (mike,etc)
