    k800i picture messaging

Hi,i recently flashed my K800i with generic firmware and patch unlocked it but i am now unable to send or receive picture messages.

I have visited the Sony Ericsson website and had the picture messaging settings sent to my phone and installed them but i am still unable to send/receive picture messages.

I chose the settings for Vodafone payt as this is the sim card that i am using, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Re: k800i picture messaging

Hi senter, i contacted the service provider but they said it must be the handset.
I had recently flahed the phone with the latest firmware ( R8BF003_RED52 ) but was'nt sure if this was the problem as i had never tried to send a picture message from this phone before, however i have got another K800i with (R1JC002_RED52) firmware which sends/receives picture messages fine so i think i will flash the phone with this firmware and see if it makes a difference.

Ps - i have tried various sim cards from different service providers and they all install the settings ok but it will still not send/receive picture messages.

    Re: k800i picture messaging

I have just reflashed the phone with (R1JC002_RED52) firmware and it seems to have solved the problem,i have tried it with all the main service providers and all are installing the settings and sending/receiving picture messages fine.

I dont understand why it would not work with ( R8BF003_RED52 ) firmware but at least it is up and running now.
