K750i flash rebranded phone - help

Ok so I am a noob but here's a good one for you. I have an orange branded (originally) K750i. I wanted to unlock it by patching on the basis its a temporary fix as I am moving to O2.

Before flashing it was ORANGE branded.

Now its Vodaphone Live branded - looks cr*p!!

What went wrong? Where did the Vodaphone Live branding come from

I have tried manually deleting files and copying an Orange Custpack into the tpa folder but Yup the vodaphone branding remains. Theres a dma folder in the tpa folder that wasnt in the custpack I downloaded but thats probably a red herring.


So How can I get rid of this vodaphone branding that applied itself?


I used the following files (from the download section) and flashed with XS++

K750_R1DB001_FS_EUROPE_2_RED36
K750_R1DB001_MAIN_EU_2_CL_RED36
I chose Custpack: EUROPE_2 (CDA102337/10) (K750) to match.

According to logs, your phone is debranded. What are the signs that make you think that it is Vodafone branded?

Err When I turn it on, its menu is full of vodaphone live stuff

Bottom right hand button is "Livecast"

Menu link to Vodafone live in top centre icon.

These certainly wouldnt be in an unbranded phone. I can post images if you want ;)

Ok so it was the firmware.... Not truly Generic

Be careful of K750_R1DB001_MAIN_EU_2_CL_RED36 it may be branded to Vodafone, not generic.
