Return Button not working

hi there
i have an SE w580i and my return button doesnt work
i bought a new flex cable but it didnt solve the problem
can it be software?
all the other keys work perfectly

can it be software?

In service menu(that you can reach by >*<<*<* key sequence), you can check if the keys are working or they don't. You can reflash the phone to exclude the software problem.

But probably the return key is broken.

how can it be the button broken if the buttons are new.
i've done the system test to the keys all work except th return button

It's probably broken. I've had my w580i's back and left softkey broken, it's not a software issue.
