    K800i problem solving..

hi, i am new here at TopSony.. :)

ok, i am not new into modding/flashing SE phones since i own a W810i and a W880i phones..
however, the sister of my friend owns the K800i.. and then she told me that one day, the
phone stops responding and became dead (it cannot be turn on).. i do not have the full
story as to why the phone became dead.. but since i know some on flashing, i checked it
    today..

the phone's IR LED only blinks once when i tried to power it up.. what does that mean?
i tried to read the phone using SETool 2 Lite v1.08 and got this line:
    Code:
    welcome to setool2 lite edition v 1.08
    supported DB2010/DB2012 CID49/50/51/52, DB2020 CID49/51/52
    Loaded 51 flash descriptors
    ChipID:9900,EMP protocol:0301
    RECOVERY BOOTROM MODE DETECTED
    Speed:921600
    Flash ID check:897E
    Flash props sent ok
    OTP LOCKED:1 CID:51 PAF:1 IMEI:359087xxxxxxxx CERT:RED
    FLASH CID:52 COLOR:RED

    CDA version:
    Default article:
    Default version:

    Operator: 000-00

    Elapsed:416 secs.
*this was done with the 2+5 button press instead of the C button..

then i tried to read the GDFS and got this line after the above lines:
    Code:
    Will backup GDFS now.
    ChipID:9900,EMP protocol:0301
    RECOVERY BOOTROM MODE DETECTED
    Speed:921600
    OTP LOCKED:1 CID:51 PAF:1 IMEI:359087xxxxxxxx CERT:RED
    FLASH CID:52 COLOR:RED

    Flash ID check:897E
    Flash props sent ok
    CSloader version:
    070410 1557 HANCXC1250562_DB2020_CSLOADER_R3A009
    loader startup: executed
CSloader refused to start GDFS services, error is:29
    failed, that is fatal
    Elapsed:18 secs.
can anyone pinpoint the problem? do i need to flash a new FS and MAIN? or probably a
    GDFS and/or EROM as well?

just as the majority of my thought was.. hhmmm, any idea on how to solve it? should i try
to directly flash an EROM? if so, what EROM would you recommend? and i can only do it with
SETool 2 Lite since XS++ can't detect the phone well enough..

    Re: K800i problem solving..

i did what that post told to do.. i managed to open the port using the C button on XS++
unlike it was before.. however, the moment XS++ detected it, it never managed to finish
(up until now as i type this reply) and got stuck with this line: "Did not receive 0x5a. Continuing"

what seems to be the problem there?

Not receiving 0x5a could disappear when you try it again or with an other version from XS++.

ok.. i'll keep on trying it.. thanks for that one.. i might come back to post some updates..
    thanks again.. :)

    EDIT:
i only have the 3.2 (Crystal) and the 3.1 (Darwin) versions.. if you do not mind, do you
happen to know which of this two is somewhat better when it comes to that procedure?

    You can tried this:

Refresh your phone by taking out the battery and reinserting it, then try again.
If it doesn't work, have you installed the USB drivers?

    Have a nice day
