    Unhappy XS++

    Hi all,
    I have just been on the usb flash driver tutorial and installed XS++.
    When I turn it on it tells me press connect, switch off phone, hold 'c' and plug in.
    When I do this it tells me to disconnect as it cannot connect to my phone.
    Can anyone tell me wht I am doing wrong please?
    Derek.

    Re: XS++

    When XS++ says to press the C key and connect the cable you need to:
    1. Turn off the phone(if it was turned on)
    2. Remove the battery, wait a few seconds(2-3 seconds is enough) and put it back, but DO NOT turn the phone on
    3. Press and hold the C key on phone and connect the DCU-60 cable(data cable, what comes with phone).
    4. When you see some progress on XS++ status window(on left side) release the C key.

    Make sure usb drivers are properly installed. You can also try holding the 2+5 buttons instead of the C button.

    Re: XS++

    I have done everything you guys have told me.

    I have cleaned the contacts (4 times) -
    Tried re-installing the drivers (5times) -
    Tried it on my laptop and my other desktop (3 times each) -
    Used all the USB ports on all the computers. -
    Tried 2+5 buttons (5 times) -
    Used SEtool and XS++ about thirty times each and keep getting same messages.

    Can't load ID loader.
    Phone preboot failed.
    Possible recovery needed.

    The phone is a K550i but it has been flashed (not by me) with W610i firmware.
    Will this make a difference?
    I have tried both K550i and W610i in the boxes on setool and XS++ but just get the same old boring messages.

    If anyone can suggest anything else I would be grateful.
    I am at the point of putting the phone on ebay and buying an unlocked one as I am losing my patience.

    Thanks for letting me bore you but if I give you everything I can about what I have done you might see where my frustration is coming from.

    Thanks in advance.
    Derek.

    Re: XS++

    Yes it has a full charge when I try it.
    I always charge it fully before doing anything.
