Firmware version differences

I flashed the phone with the files suggested here, also with the custpack. Everything went like it should.
The phone is Europe 3 now, but when I start it up I get "insert correct sim card".
I did a long search on the forum, but it didn't help me.

It took me some time, but my phone is unlocked now.

Why was it locked after flashing main, fs and custpack ?
There are no simlocks in Belgium.
