too many programs im confused...

i had 3 w580i phones and this time got a w760i replacement phone
somehow i managed to debrand and kinda customize my w580 but the 760 is a real beech.

i am so confused with all the software that is coming out and the tutorials are confusing the shit out of me since its soo many of them

can someone please help me out and make a short description of each modding software and what exactly it is used for. xs far manager and all that

i ve been trying to learn the OS of the phone so i can understand it better but i have no clue as what to look for
like a filesystem and where all the main components are located

1)what kind of OS does sony ericsson phones run on?

2)i had a theme called "spinnin" on my w580 and i tried to put it on my 760 and the actuall buzzing main menu doesnt seem to work( i used my phone explorer and dropped the file in themes directory)

3) is it possible to edit locked shortcuts like the up joystick button locked to "location services" and what proggie is used for it?

im really starting to get a headache from all the different lil pieces that i have to get in order to do something with this phone.

anyone?

i mean this is really frustrating
what is the point of all the endless tutorials when most of the people dont understand the basics of how the phone operates.

it just confuses the faq out of everyone with all these walkthroughs

and then you get people asking same questions over and over because the walkthroughs make no sense to anyone but people that already know how to do it.

i cant i have some issues with usb flash drivers it freezes the PC
its unlocked and debranded i upgraded to latest firmware using seus
from another computer.

spinnin won't work because W760i uses flash menu 2.1 and spinnin is 2.0.

As for the up menu for location services, you cannot change that. I have older firmware though R3CA038.

can i edit the firmware and then upload it on my phone? cuz that sht is very annoying.
