    Re: Debranding new W580i

W580i_CDA102774_87_R13A_Rogers_Canada is the customization which matches with the FS from your phone (probably W580_R8BE001_FS_AMERICA_1_RED52). In order to debrand, you must choose a generic MAIN, a FS according to the language you want and the custom file must match with the FS.

    Re: Debranding new W580i

    Thank a lot, hyperion
The new W580i is successfully debranded with set of files, that you, hyperion, suggested.
I had to use setool2 lite edition v 1.08, after first attempted with XS++ 3.1, but didn't find the W580 model as a choice for custom files. Even though with setools2 it works, I'd like to know why W580 is not a listed (pop-down menu) option on XS++ 3.1?
And now, there is another thing - unlocking this debranded W580i. Should I ask such question under another topic?

XS++ haven't listed W580,because thats new phone and Xs didn't update for now,but it will be(we all hope so),but in XS exist another option called "own_custpack" and in XS folder exist folder "own_custpack" and in that folder you put folder "tpa"."tpa" you will get after you unpack CUSTPACK with winrar or winzip. And when you connect phone with XS in section CUSTOMIZATION instead phone model, at the end of that list , you will find "own_custpack",so pick that and flash.

The new W580i is debranded and unlocked with all your help.
The "mistery" for me is still in that "own_custpack" folder, that I can't find, even with Search tool. The "files_to_upload" is there (after un-rar the downloaded archive).
And also this from the log file: "...Warning: IMEI name does not match GDFS name (IMEI:NULL GDFS:W580)...using GDFS name..."
    What does it mean?
    Thank you!

In older versions of XS - file to upload , in newest version (3.1 Darwin) - own_custpack, the thing is - that's the same and for IMEI:null - Xs read first from IMEI ,but you have new phone and XS don't have in database your phone, but he correctly read IMEI from GDFS
