SE K800i Error

Hi there,

My SE K800i comes up with

"Network Configuration Error. Contact your Network Operator or Service Centre"

I recently tried to upload new updates via the SE application on my computer , and this is where the problem seems to have begun - It worked fine before this.

I am a complete twit when it comes to Mobile Phones - I saw a similar thread to this but I didn't understand a word.

Thus, is thereany chance that someone could please help me out, and explain to me very clearly ( as im a noob!) what I need to do in order to fix it???

Well,for start read this XS++ 3.1 Guide-Flashing, Customizing, Recovering - Top Sony Forums and read few times if you need and than try to connect your phone with XS++.When you successfuly connect phone with XS++,in XS folder you will find log file and post that log here without IMEI number and than we shell point you in wright direction

u need to reflash a custom pack to it download a copy off xs they are built in to it

Yes,that's it. You can use XS++ and you need to upload CUSTPACK to phone. You need Vodafone CUSTPACK for your country and operator - that you will find in download section - custom files - K800 and than extract archiv - you will get folder /tpa/.
Open XS++ folder and you will find another folder "own_custpack" - put folder /tpa/ in /own_custpack/ ,start Xs++ - connect - pick "customize file system" and instead phone model ,at the end, find "own_custpack" - when you do everything click on FLASH and Xs will upload custpack to phone

What exactly was the problem with the phone in the first place? and is it a common SE error?

This isn't big problem,your phone just lost configuration for network(that information been placed in CUSTPACK).That can happened during flash(when custpack didn't applyed), deleting by mistake ...........
