    W880i No Network coverage

    Hi

I'm fairly new to the forum and wondered if anyone out there could help? I've got a W880i unlocked and debranded, the problem is that that it shows as no network coverage, even though I know my network covers my area as I have 2 other phones, both Se and 1 is another w880i and they both recieve a signal just fine.

When I switch the phone on it shows no signal but after 3-5 minutes I get 5 bars but still the message NO NETWORK COVERAGE still show and can't make/receive calls or texts.

I've done everything I can in regards to updating and flashing the phone, the only other thing I can think of is the antenna but unsure how to proceed with that. The phone has no warranty (second hand) so return/replacement/fix is not an option. Any information greatly appreciated

    Thanks

maybe the problem is with a simcard? Did you try to switch simcards between phones?
It sounds like your simcard is no active...

Well, in this case, are you sure it's unlocked?
try < * * < sequense and see if all the locks there are open...

The thing is, that if it was unlocked by patch, after flashing it goes off, so you need to apply patch or insert the unlock code again!
I saw it happend on K800i and this was the problem exactly.

    Re: W880i No Network coverage

It wasn't unlocked by patch, it was a full unlock. Tried 3 different network providers, all sims are accepted but shows either "emergancy calls only" or "no network coverage". Think it has to be a fault with the phone. I'll take it to a shop and have them take a look at it. Thanks for the tips though

Goog luck with that, I hope they won't charge you much for that.
Before going and paying money, I would try to flash it couple more time with different firmware each time, maybe the problem is with the files you flashed it with.
