    so java app need a lots memory. if the phone's hardware is strong enough and support totally java env, java apps can do enything

    Note, java is Virtual machine, that executes cod indirectly and performance is low. With direct code execution we can afford some like FarCry:) on W810...

    There is a MS-DOS emulator for Pocket-PC and works very well running old exe programs, there is also an emulator for PalmOS apps but as anyone could understand there is not phone powerfull enough to emulate Windows OS, even full powered computers could have a hard time doing that

    yet the xbox can run linux no problem...
    they have made linux that will fit on usb, and dos was used on the very first computers. i think we will be able to run at least dos.

    thought why would anyone want to is (forgot word) me

    ye the x-box can run linux, but look at processor specs, or more to the point processor spec differences of the best of the best mobiles, not going to happen, you may be able to get some real cruddy old dos app to run an exe file. but id bet a pound to a penny that there is allready a java app that covers any functions you could get from running an exe.

    sony ericsson has deal with sagem and maybe new phone has different menu symbian has only smartphones and maybe se make mobile with s60
