k770 unlocking

I'm having problems trying to unlock my k770. I saw this ( k770i - Top Sony Forums ) guide on how to do it but I don't know what firmware I have, so I can amend the patch file. When I tried to use setool2 lite to identify what I had. It seamed to be stuck scanning, which I let it do for over an hour and 15 min.

shound take that long to read out ur phone take the battry out and put it back in and try again and make sure u have the right drivers

You want believe what I was doing before. I was pressing c on the key board and didn't even have the phone turned off. Any ways I got both xs++ and setool2 lite to recognize it.

Platform: DB2020
EROM CID: 53
Firmware Version: R8BC004

So is it possible to unlock if I have CID: 53. When I tried to back up my phone using Read GDFS in setool the green bar at the bottom just keeps going round and round should I just let it get on with it for a certain amount of time.

You can't backup GDFS and you can't unlock for free (for now) , but you can use Ultimate Unlocker and for 1/3 log you have phone unlocked

I just tryed Unlock Search because it was cheap but it looks like its a scam sight, so it looks like I'll have to give Ultimate Unlocker a go next.
