where i can find the last a2 uploader?

Hi all,

I am new to this whole scene, but i am hoping you can all help me out.

I have unlocked my Orange Uk w595 phone, but I have been having issues with the rebrand.

Like many other people I have changed the CDA numerous times but the SEUS keeps telling me that there are no new updates available. i am sure that the CDA number has changed as i check it by the identify function on A2 Uploader. Thus far i have tried 10 CDA's with no luck. I repeat I have followed every step to the letter.

I am trying to install generic Australia or UK files as I use the phone in both countries.

If it is not possible to get the SEUS to work can I flash the following files to debrand:

Main - W595_R3EA037_MAIN_GENERIC_LD_RED52
File system - W595_R3EA037_FS_APAC-ANZ_RED52
Custom Pack - Do I even need one? If i do I would like one with some other themes the orange one is annoying

I dont want to brick my w595 which is why I am asking for clarification. I was hoping to get SEUS to work, but I think that might be wishful thinking so flashing with other files is fine as long as they are the correct ones.

Also is there anywhere i can get a heap of themes etc for my w595?

Ok so I successfully installed a new w508 CDA 1223-9003 onto my w518a, it shows up in the software menu, but SEUS won't update the firmware, it says I have the latest.

and now, I can't put another Customize_upgrade file on there :(

After my post above I have spent a lot of time on geting SEUS to work. I would say good luck with that and don’t bother with it, as it wont work. They have changed the settings in it and you can change the CDA 50 times like I did and nothing will happen. You will just get messages that tell you your phone is already up to date.

NOW HOPEFULLY FOR THE GOOD NEWS!

I have found a work around for my W595 as follows that does not involve using A2 uploader to manually flash:

Firstly install the Sony Ericsson PC Suite 6.0 (see sony web site)

connect your phone in phone mode to PC Suite (follow how to connect button up the top you need the cable)

go to the help menu and select PC Suite update settings.

You should be able to get select update now, if not change the settings to update daily. If it does not ask you to check for updates shut down the suite reopen and reconnect your phone.

Now hopefully it will tell you that there is a new update available.

Say yes and it will start downloading the update service for the pc suite.

After that it will probably ask you to install some java drivers for the update

Say yes

Then it should disconnect your phone and continue on the update route.

The great thing about this is you don’t have to disconnect and reconnect and hold buttons etc it just does it all for you.

Hopefully this will get you the debranded file system etc for the CDA you installed.

If the update does not work the first time try restarting your computer and starting all over again. I think that the java drivers need a restart to work properly.

If this does not work you could also try the update service on your mobile. On my W595 you go to settings and general and select update service. I note that this connects to the web through your phone and downloads the drivers/file system. This would be over 50 meg of data. Please ensure that you have a decent internet plan on your mobile before doing that because you could be up for a lot of data usage charges for all those files downloads.

I hope this helps get around the problem of SEUS saying no updates are available. Certainly made my night when I got it to work.

I've unlocked my w890 using aerix and debranded it using A2 CDA file generator, and now my ringtones/message tones and alarm tones don't work, everything else is fine, any ideas why?

hi i just acquired a C903 but it is locked

i have read the stuff on here and it makes no bloody sense to me

can someone help me JUST for the C903 but make sure you provide the links for any downloads instead of me having to use the search for all these bits and bobs ... just one page with step by step downloads
