K850i flash menu not working... any ideas?

Hi,

I downloaded some flash menu to my k850i via a2uploader, they show up correctly in the menu, but i cant enter any of them. The files ae correctly placed in the tpa/ectect folder

Any ideas what could be the issue

Maybe they are made for W580 , W830, W850, W880 or W900. They have the same resolution.

Might be, but the icons arrangement on the menu matches my mobile,s, and the rest of the theme is basically laser precision built-in with flash menu linked to it via the xml file, should be working, but nah

I suppose you uploaded also the .swf file to : TPA/preset/system/desktop/flash, didn't you?

Yes, and edited the xmlfile in the thm to link it to the theme, go figure

Have you put the themes in phone memory or on a memory card? You need to have them in phone memory the first time you use it, after that it can be moved. Not sure why you'd need to edit the xml file as the theme should point to the correct location anyway.

Well, there's no problem with the theme file itself, the problem occurs with the *.swf file that I assign to that theme. A the end of the theme.xml there's a line that points to the location of that *.swf file (something like desktop style=***.swf...). I change that line with the swf file name and it works, but i Cant enter any menus (the new layout of the menu i recognized, but no way to enter it)

Does the flash menu say that it's a flash lite 2.0 file? cuz if it's 2.1, i think it wont work well,, i had a g705 flash menu a few weeks ago, and it was built in flash version 2.1, and although the layout is the same with k850i, it didn't work. then i looked for the flash lite 2.0 version and it worked..^_^

Yup, it's true, the versions were different, from 2.1 to 2.0, although the layout was the same, they didn't work, problem solved thx

hi, could you pls tell me how did you fixed the flash menu problem beacuse i cant enter any menus. and a would appreciate that you could or anybody else on this forum could help me :D
