    W880i, header not accepted error

    I have tried to use FAR + JDFlasher plugin, I managed to flash the phone. Once completed I unplugged the phone then loaded up JDFlasher again to add the custom packs. Once connected the phone and clicked on 'ofs' I received an error: SetDirectory(setdir(setmode(doscript(qhldr(header not accepted))))) I have tried to reflash the phone again, but I get the same message when clicking 'oflash' now.

    Hello

    First what phone? and where do you download the FAR Manager (JDFlasher)

    And the JDFlasher does not have to be installed so you can not reinstall :p

    Its a w880i, ive tried 3 different files from this site, two which had the plugin complied already, and i have also downloaded the manager and the plugin seperatly.

    Ive downloaded the files at:

    Use FAR with JDflasher plugin from step 2. here: http://www.topsony.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11605 and these files:

    W880_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_AI_RED53
    W880_R8BE001_FS_EUROPE_4_RED53
    HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_13_R8A_GENERIC_EUROPE_4

    Re: header not accepted error

    I am having this same error when trying to connect (run db2020.xml script?) using a w380 CID53.

    This is what I do:
    1. Start FAR Manager
    2. Press F11
    3. Select Just da flasher
    4. Select "db2020, DCU-60, 921600"
    5. Select Jump down into a large rabbit-hole"
    6. Hold C and connect to USB, meanwhile it connects and I see "bflash, oflash, ofs"
    7. Select "oflash"
    8. See this on screen:

    used script: db2020.xml
    turn off the phone, hold "c" button and plug usb cable
    found EPIUSB2
    connecting...
    got response
    protocol: 0301 baseband: D000
    cid detect
    <- cid=53 color=red platform=pnx5230
    qhldr: 070703 1229 DB2020_SEMC_RECOVERY_P3N.2020_1_BLUE
    error: SetDirectory(setdir(setmode(doscript(qhldr(header not accepted)

    With only an OK button where script closes and I am brought back to the main menu in FAR manager.

    I've used 3 different db2020.xml scripts I've downloaded off this site.

    ---------------
    This is what the end of my db2020.xml looks like:

    <device name="db2020">

    ....[parts of the script for CID 49,51,52]...

    <cid num="53" color="red">
    <bflash break="2020_52">
    <qhtry>2020_prologue</qhtry>
    <run/>
    <cmd3c>2020_f_R2A005</cmd3c>
    <activateloader/>
    </bflash>
    <oflash>
    <qhldr>070703 1229 DB2020_SEMC_RECOVERY_P3N.2020_1_BLUE</qhldr>
    <cmd3c>080108 1810 DB2020_FLASHLOADER_R2A015.2020_53_RED</cmd3c>
    <activateloader/>
    </oflash>
    <ofs>
    <qhldr>070703 1229 DB2020_SEMC_RECOVERY_P3N.2020_1_BLUE</qhldr>
    <cmd3c>070904 1245 DB2020_CSLOADER_R3A013.2020_53_RED</cmd3c>
    <activatecsloader/>
    </ofs>
    </cid>
    </device>
    -----------------
    Is there something wrong with the script? Or is there something wrong with the SEMC/FLASHLOADER files that the script is pointing to?

    Re: header not accepted error

    Just for shits and giggles, at step 4 instead of selecting db2020, I selected pnx5230 and it managed to connect into the phone and managed to flash with:
    W380_R10CA001_MAIN_NAM_1_LE_RED53.mbn, which is the one currently on the phone.
    When I tried to install custpack:
    W380a_1207-7304_R12A_Fido_Canada
    nothing happened. No progress bar, nothing suggesting anything was going on.

    The reason I know nothing happened is because the password on the main screen when I boot up the phone is still there.

    You should debrand with the latest firmware (MAIN and FS):
    W380_R9BB001_MAIN_GENERIC_LE_RED53
    W380_R9BB001_FS_AMERICA_1_RED53.
    As for the customization, double click "ofs" and go to "TPA/preset/custom" directory in the left pannel. Then unpack W380a_1207-7304_R12A_Fido_Canada and copy "customize.xml" from the right pannel to the left

    Re: header not accepted error

    Thank you. I believe it has successfully been flashed, and debranded.

    However, to my great disappointment the phone lock is still in place. I thought after flashing this thing ,it would revert things back to factory settings.

    I know that through the use of SETool or XS++ the phone lock password can be revealed. But since this is now a CID53 device, neither of those programs detect the phone.
    I'm not looking for a network unlock (to use on other GSM carriers, I've already got a source for that stuff), just phone unlock. Is that the same as a SIM unlock?

    Re: header not accepted error

    I finally understood what's your problem: your phone is protected with an "user code". Unfortunately, there's no free solution to reset/reveal a CID53 user code; you have to use a BOX, or an online flashing site(Davinci).
