Hi people,
I'm currently helping a friend of mines repair her phone. Unfortunately I managed to get everything back and running except for the display.
I have already uploaded the original display driver from download section as well as also tried out other third party display drivers. This didn't fix the problem and I can't pull up information of any other related problems.
I'm hoping you guys and gals have a better insight than I into this problem.
Basically, phone boots up fine and camera works as well. The catch is that there is no menu and it seems that the screen "moved" out of place and up a few notches. As you could see in the pictures, the only thing that comes into view is what would normally be on the bottom of the display.
The camera works fine except for a line that runs across. It seems to be a software error at this point.
Updating the phone via SEUS is not an option. Since SEUS will be wiping the phone clean of all data and that would result in a very very very unhappy and sad crying girl I rather not go that route. Although I already backed up the data to the best of my knowledge; I'm just trying to restore it back to the way it was.
Cheers :)
On Start up logo, the display functions 100%
Once we get past the boot and into the phone this is what I get
Everything works as it should except for the fact that you can't see anything. Heres what the camera looks like:
On idle the backlight goes out and phone was supposingly set to show the time. This is what you get instead (Backlight did not turn on when volume key was pressed):
And it seems the menu plague follows through onto shut down screen as well:
So here is my dilemma. After a whole day of searching and problem solving this is the one and only thing that still is in the way. Got midterms later today so wrapping up tonight isn't an option.
I would like to thank everyone in advance for their input
