lock status!

hey all, tell me this. how can I find out the provider lock status on my K800? the <**< doesnt work and there is no SIM lock option in the service menu following a repair by o2. Im on O2UK and i know the phone is unlocked since I have tried an orange SIM in it. Just find this weird that this doesnt work anymore..... any ideas?

lol. i know. but it doesnt come up in the service menu after >*<<*<*! dunno whats wrong! ah well!

your cell is unlocked but still on branded software ad sometimes they might lock out that feature to prevent any customers from leaving the o2 company, im sure once you get it debranded (flashed) you are then able to see the lock status but ususally all status are unlocked except network

try to turn phone off, and then On.
I couldn't enter service menu too, restarted the phone, and the I could. ;)

How can I know if my z530 is unlocked?

all se uses the same keypad coding to see which is <**< or >*<<*<*< and just go into service menu and see netwrok lock its its open or closed that or just insert another sim besides your originall carrirer
